Thesis

Where I put attention, how I engage and what I pass. If I had a fund, this would be its mandate.

Sectors

Industrial decarbonization & resource efficiencyWaste-to-value, materials, process heat, emissions reduction with a cost case that stands without subsidy.
WaterInfrastructure, treatment, remediation, allocation. Least substitutable, most under-priced risk in the stack.
Food & agricultureYield, soil, inputs, supply chain integrity.
Energy generation, storage & gridWhere I first put my own money in 1999 and public policy in 1980.
Real assets & the built environmentDecarbonization retrofit, proptech, urban systems. Twelve years of environmental land use and planning practice, and GIS, as a foundation.
Health span & human performanceWhere the science is real and the claim is verifiable.
The software layerAI, data infrastructure and applications that make the rest of it measurable and operable as CSFs and KPIs.

The screen

I work on initiatives and with people I want my name attached to in twenty years. In practice that rules out two situations: teams for whom financial return is the primary variable in the model, and businesses that treat environmental and human cost as an externality for somebody else to pay for later.

This is not a moral posture. It is an underwriting position.

Companies that carry those costs on the books early are the ones that survive the regulatory and reputational repricing that always follows. I have watched that cycle run multiple times. It runs on a longer clock than a fund life, which is exactly why most people misprice it.

How I engage

Advisor, Venture Partner or EIRWith values-aligned funds and family offices. Technical diligence, thesis formation, and whether a founding team can execute what the deck describes.
Board Member or Strategic AdvisorFor founders and companies at the convergence of frontier technology and planetary impact, where governance, technical judgment and commercial translation are needed in the same seat.
Fractional Chief Transformation OfficerFor founding teams navigating the critical transitions from technology to product-market fit to scale. Rare, senior, and only where the problem is genuinely a strategic and execution challenge.
